St. Paternus (482 - 565) was the first fifth century saint. He became a hermit in Wales, just like his father. He founded the monastery at the great church of Paternus. He also became a bishop of that region. He was known for his preaching, charity and mortifications.

St. Paternus pray for us to find God in simple things in life.
