St. Joan de Lestonnac (1556 - 1640) was born in Bordeaux, France. She got married when she was 17 years old. The happy marriage gave her 4 beautiful children. After her children were raised she joined the Cistercian monastery at Toulouse. Joan was forced to leave the monastery due to bad health. She then returned to Bordeaux and started her own congregation and several young girls joined her order as novices and they were determined to counteract the evils that came out of Calvinism (A protestant sect).

St. Joan help us to bring others to the complete understanding of God that is present in the Catholic church.
