St. Julian of Antioch (d. 305) was born in Anazarbus, Cilicia, in modern Turkey. He was arrested for being a Christian of senatorial rank. After his arrest he was tortured daily for a year and every day he was paraded around the cities of Cilicia to be made as an example. Finally after a year of torture he was thrown into a sack with snakes and scorpions and tied up and thrown into the sea. His body was recovered and transferred to Antioch.

St. Julian please pray for perseverance through difficulties in life.
