St. John, Sergius & Companions (d. 796) were monks who were in the monastery, of St. Sabas, near Jerusalem. A band of Arabs came one day and devastated the entire area and martyred St. John, Sergius and Companions. Several monks were wounded too and one of the wounded monks, named Stephen, composed a poem in honor of the martyred and to commemorate the event.
St. John, Sergius and Companions help us to hold fast on our faith.
