St. Alypius (d. 4th century) was an ascetic (one who lived under severe discipline of foregoing all worldly indulgences). Alypius sat on the top of a pillar (stylite), praying and rapt in contemplation. He is revered as the patron of infertile women and is known as an old man on a pillar, holding a baby.
St. Alypius please for married couples who desire for a child to be blessed by a baby.
Patron of: Infertile women.
