St. Peter Chanel (1803 - 1841) was a ordained priest in France. He was a pastor at a parish church for a few years. He then felt that he was called to do mission work so he joined the society of Mary. The bishop sent him to the island of Futuna. This island had never seen a Christian missionary. Fr. Peter had many difficulties when he was trying to convert the savage tribe. But Fr. Peter soon started seeing results. But the jealous King got frustrated when his own son and daughter converted to Christianity. The King had Peter brutally murdered but during his torture Fr. Peter did not utter even one complain.
St. Peter help us converts others to you even if we may have to face challenges.
