St. Agathopus (d. 303) was a deacon in Thessalonica (modern day Greece) and he was working with a doctor named Theodulus. Both Agathopus and Throdulus were arrested for possessing Christian scriptures and for professing the faith. They were tried by Faustinus, the governor of the region. Both Agathopus and Throdulus were condemned to death and thrown into the sea with heavy rocks tied around their necks.

St. Agathopus please help us be bold in professing the faith.
