St. Aedesius (d. 306) was the brother of St. Apphian. Aedesius witnessed the persecutions that were being taken place under the rule of Emperor Diocletian's. He publicly rebuked the local Roman officials who were placing Christian virgins in brothels as part of the persecutions. For this Aedesius was arrested, tortured and martyred by drowning.

St. Aedesius pray for us to have the courage to stand up for the weak and defend them like you did.
