St. Cassian of Imola (d. 363) was a teacher from Ravenna, Italy. He was asked to deny Christ or choose death. When he did not deny Christ, his students were asked to hack him to death. His students were young kids and could not wield mortal blows which prolonged his death. This made his death extremely painful.

St. Cassian please pray for all our teachers to be safe and healthy all the days of their life.

Patron of: Imola, Mexico City, schoolteachers, shorthand-writers, parish clerks.
