St. Julian was of noble birth and a skilled hunter. He had married a widow. Once when he went out of town, his parents came to visit him at the same time. His wife took them into their home and took care of them. When he came back on an account of mistaken identity he accidentally killed his parents. He spent the rest of his life regretting the accidental mistake he made and as a penance he started an inn for travelers and built an hospital for the poor. One night a leper came to him asking for a place to stay; Julian gave up his own bed for the leper. It turned out that the leper was a messenger from God who told him that this was a test and that he passed the test and his sins were forgiven.
St. Julian help us to not make rash decisions that could impact our lives for ever.
