St. Daniel (d. 309) along with four of his friends Elias, Isaias, Jeremy and Samuel went to visit the persecuted Christians in the mines of Cilicia to comfort them. They were caught at the gates and accused by the governor for being Christians. Daniel and his four Christian friends were tortured and beheaded. They died martyrs for love of God and the faith.
St. Daniel help us to bear witness to God and grace us with friends like Elias, Isaias, Jeremy and Samuel.
