St. Belina (d. 1135) had very pious parent who were serfs (an agricultural laborer bound under the feudal system to work on his lord's estate) to John Paterne the feudal land lord. Belina was engaged to a man who was of the same rank us her family. When her parents asked Lord Paterne's for permission (This was the custom) Lord Paterne said that he would marry Belina but she rejected the offer. One day when Belina was tending her father's sheep Lord Paterne surprised her but she refused his unchaste proposals. This made him mad and he killed St. Belina.


St. Belina help us to always be true to godly morals.
