St. Wulfric (d.1154) was born in England. He became a priest, but was extremely materialistic and wordly. He once had an encounter with a beggar which completely transformed his worldly life. This transformation was so intense that he became a hermit. He was also known to perform miracles and prophecies. He was actually never formally canonized, but was known as a popular saint in the middle ages.

St. Wulfric helps us to be detached from our wordly addictions.
