St. Leander of Seville (534 - 600) was born in Spain and both his brothers were bishops and his sister Florentina was also a saint. Leander was instrumental in converting two sons of the King Leovigild to Christianity. But this made the King Leovigild very angry and he exiled Leander to Constantinople. When Leander was in Constantinople he became friends with the to be Pope Gregory the Great.

St. Leander help us to find holy friends and grow closer to God when we are in the exiles of our life.
