St. Blaise (d. 316) was a healer first and then a healer of the soul. He was known to heal people with objects stuck in their throat. There was a lady whose pig was stolen by a wolf. St. Blaise commanded the wolf to return the pig and the pig was returned totally unharmed. The woman gave two candle sticks as a gift to St. Blaise to brighten his room. Another time when St. Blaise was captured by the governor of Cappadocia for not renouncing the faith he met a lady on the way to the prison whose son had a fish bone stuck in his mouth. St. Blaise healed the boy. Although the governor saw this miracle he still beat him with a stick, tore at him with iron combs and then finally beheaded him.
St. Blaise help us be a healer of souls just like you.
