Blessed William Carter (1548 - 1584) was a bold Catholic who was a layman of the Church. He was imprisoned for printing Catholic pamphlets and he offended the public officials by publishing works that were geared to helping Catholics uphold their faith. William remained in prison for 18 months and was tortured. During his time in prison he also had to hear about his wife's death. He stood firm in his faith and died a martyr who was drawn by a horse, hung and later quartered.
Blessed William Carter help us to be brave like you even in the little things of avoiding the sins we frequently commit.
