St. Poppo (978 - 1048) at first led a wordy life, but later he took a pilgrimage to Rome and Jerusalem and came back a changed man. He became a benedictine monk and started to assist the abbot (head of the abbey of monks) in Saint Vannes. He later became an abbot himself as the Emperor St. Henry II gave him that title because he was the emperor's most trusted advisor.
St. Poppo helps us give sage advice to people asking for our words.
