St. Thomas Aquinas (1226 - 1274) lived in a castle and wanted to become a priest. He left his home to become a Dominican priest, but his brothers captured him and brought him back home because his mother did not want him to have this life. He was kept captive in the castle for a whole year and finally when his mother knew that he was determined she let him escape through a window. When he went to study many thought that he was slow to study just because he was quiet, but one of the scholars named Magnus said: "You call him the dumb ox, but in his teaching, he will one day produce such a bellowing that it will be heard throughout the world."

St. Thomas Aquinas helps us to have the zeal and unwavering passion to learn and be with God.
