St. Adrian of Canterbury ( d. Jan 9, 710) was the abbot of the monastery of Saints Peter and Paul in Canterbury. Because of St. Adrian's leadership the facility became one of the most important centers for learning. The school attracted many outstanding scholars from far and wide and the school also produced many future bishops and arch bishops. Adrian was died and buried in the monastery and several hundred years after his death, his body was found in an incorrupt state during the reconstruction of the monastery. His tomb was later famous for miracles.
