St. Peter Tuan (d. 1838) was a native priest from Vietnam. He was arrested by Vietnamese authorities for being a Christian and he suffered such grievous tortures while in prison that he died before they could carry out the order of execution by beheading. St. Pope John Paul II canonized him in 1988.

St. Peter Tuan please pray for our priests.
