Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the patroness of the Carmelite Order. The first Carmelites lived on Mt. Carmel in the Holy land. She has appeared holding baby Jesus, the brown scapular and surrounded by souls in purgatory to St. Simon as well as the 3 children in Fatima. Devotion to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel has centered around the Scapular, a brown cloth sacramental associated with the promises of Mary's special aid for the salvation of the devoted wearer.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
