St. Aureus was the bishop of Mainz, in Germany. The Huns (Nomadic people who lived in Central Asia) attacked the city, so Aureus went into exile. Later he came back and celebrated mass in the Cathedral. In the middle of the mass during the Eucharist, Aureus, his sister, Justina, and their companions were martyred.

St. Aureus pray for us to truly know the power and love of God through the Eucharist.
