St. Vincent Kaun (d. 1626) was a native of Korea and was brought to Japan in 1591 as a prisoner of war. Vincent later converted to Christianity. He studied at the Jesuit seminary of Arima and worked for three decades as a catechist in both China and Japan. He was seized during the persecution of the church and burnt alive at Nagasaki along with Blessed Francis Pacheco.

St. Vincent please pray for us to be ready to burn our bad habits for love of God.
