St. Samson Xenodochius (d. 530) was called "the Hospitable". He was a doctor and known for his charity. He was a physician in Constantinople (modern day Istanbul). Samson also became a priest so that he can tend to the physical and spiritual needs of his patients. Samson also founded a well known hospital near the Hagia Sophia, in Constantinople. He was revered as "the Father of the Poor."

St. Samson please pray for more doctors like you who can tend to the physical and spiritual needs of their patients.
