St. Sanctinus (d. 851) was born in Albi, France. He was captured as a child by the Moors and sold into slavery at Cordoba, Spain. He was raised and educated at the court of the emir of Cordoba. He served in the palace guard until he was tortured and executed for professing the Christian faith and refusing to embrace Islam.

St. Sanctinus please pray for us to always speak in terms that honor God.
