St. Himelin (~d.750) was a very holy priest from Ireland. One day when he was returning from a pilgrimage to Rome he passed through Belgium he became gravely ill and fell on the side of the road. There was a maid who worked for a priest and she had collected a pitcher of water and was walking to give the pitcher of water to the priest. On her way she saw Himelin laying on the side of the road and Himelin requested her to give him some water as he was extremely thirsty. The maid hesitated because there was a deadly disease going around at that time and she wanted to stay away from Himelin. But Himelin told her that the priest she was taking the water to, will be fully satisfied even if she gave him the water. The maid then gave Himelin the water and when the maid went back to the priest, the priest was astonished by the fact that the water turned to wine. After the maid told him about Himelin, the priest brought Himelin to his home and gave him a place to stay and Himelin insisted that he only wanted a pile of hay to sleep on that night. When Himelin died, the church bells rang on their own accord miraculously.
St. Himelin help us enrich the lives of people who bless us.
