St. Agnes of Bohemia (1211 - 1282) was a princess of Bohemia. Her father was King Ottokar of Bohemia. When she was just three years old she was engaged to Boleslaus, but he died within a few years. When she was just nine years old she got engaged again to Henry, son of Emperor Frederick II. But Henry married the daughter of the Duke of Austria. This made Agnes extremely happy because she consecrated her life to God by living a life of austerity and virginity. She then became a nun and built a convent and was known for her humility and she also helped the poor.

St. Agnes pray for us to have a life that can bring other people closer to God.
