St. Conon of Naso (1139 - 1236) was a monk in Naso, Sicily and when he was praying in the church he promised to take a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. When he went to the Jerusalem he saw a vision of a serpent coiling itself around the throat of a certain priest. Conon immediately went to the priest and told him about the vision. The priest confessed that he had hoarded a lot of money. Conon persuaded him to give up the hoarded money to the poor. In 1571 there was a huge famine in Naso and the people interceded to Conon to end the famine. One day the ship captain who was headed somewhere in Italy got a vision of Conon asking him to redirect the ship to Naso. The ship contained a lot of grain and since the ship captain revered Conon he took the ship to Naso and this ended the famine.
St. Conon please pray for all human beings to not have to go hungry to bed.
