St. Bertilla Boscardin (1888 - 1922) was also called Mary Bertilla. She was born in Brendola, in northern Italy. A member of the Congregation of Teachers of St. Dorothy, Daughters of the Sacred hearts, she spent her life caring for children and the sick. She was canonized in 1961.
